Ümmüye, Behiye, Ümmü, Fatma K., Cennet, Saniye, Fatma F., Zeynep ve Nesime are nine peasant women living in a village in Taurus Mountains, and pass their days at the fields, in the building site, at home, with everlasting work. The women come together this time with a completely different reason, to lighten the crushing burden of life. Their aim is to write and act a play, setting of from their own lives. This documentary film tells the formation process of the play and the change the women go through during this process.
PELİN ESMER
Born in 1972 in İstanbul. After graduating from Bosphorus University Department of Sociology, she attended the cinema workshop of Yavuz Özkan for a year. The documentary “Koleksiyoncu”, her first film made in 2002, took the Best Docementary prize at the Rome Independent Film Festival and was third in the Ankara International Film Festival.
